Made from 200g nylon quality four way stretch lycra, this water repellent Lycra hood with zip is available with or without ears.

A chin to chest zip makes the hood easier to put on and off and the front leg strap which goes between the legs and fixes onto the girth fastening by way of a clip helps to keep the hood secure. This hood benefits from heat sealed seams.

Although not waterproof, the hoods are water repellent, reducing stable staining and repelling showers while absorbing less when rolling. They also help to keep plaits flat and the horse clean.

Please note that if using for turnout they are made from Lycra and may be prone to snagging if rubbed on fencing or trees.

The hoods are hand or machine washable on a cool/warm cycle, but no biological products should be used as they will strip the repellency.

Designed for horses/ponies (not Shetlands or Heavy Horses), we would recommend the following as a guide:

• Small - rug size approx 5'0-5'6
• Medium - rug size approx 5'9-6'0
• Large - rug size approx 6'3-6'6
• X-Large - rug size approx 6'9-7'0
