The heavy horse polar fleece with tail flap and shoulder gussets is an extremely versatile rug. The rug is made from 230gsm polar fleece fabric. It has many possibilities for use such as travel, at competitions, as a light stable rug or after exercise/bathing it can be used as a wicking/cooler rug as well as an extra layer for warmth.

This rug is designed for heavier breeds such as Clydesdale, Percheron, Shire etc so deeper down the sides and generous at the shoulders and chest.

There is soft nylon lining at the chest to help prevent rubbing and friction. The rug has double adjustable surcingle straps with rubber washers to help stop them unfastening.

The chest has double adjustable chest straps with D rings and quick release clips – once the straps are adjusted for the size of the pony it makes fastening at the chest quick and easy as just two clips to attach. This adjustment also means the rugs can be adjusted to fit a wide range of builds.

The rug has shoulder gussets which allows for ease of movement for the horse, and a wither protector fitted for extra comfort.

There is a tail flap which is particularly useful for those who have a tendency to rub their tails when stabled or travelling, and a fillet string helps to keep the back end of the rug in place.

The rug is machine washable and comes packed in a zipped bag with handles – ideal for storing when not in use. This most useful of rugs features:
